In a digital health care organisation
- Releases to services that support patient care must pass clinical safety and information governance checks, so delivery managers build these into the team's plans and definition of done.
- Delivery often depends on clinicians and care staff who have limited time away from patients, so delivery managers plan research, testing, and training around clinical rotas.
- Changes to live clinical services need careful timing, so delivery managers plan go-lives with operational teams to avoid peak clinical periods and to have support in place.
- Teams often depend on suppliers of clinical systems and on other health and care organisations, so delivery managers manage external dependencies and contracts.
